He is Risen Indeed!

I live because He lives!

"...if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith." 

-1 Corinthians 15:14

Jesus was no ordinary man. 

Jesus was God, in the form of man. If He had simply been a man then there would have been no resurrection. He would be yet another "good teacher" with a sad story of suffering and death. He would be someone to go down in the History books, but His story would end there. He would be admired, and then forgotten. If Jesus had stayed buried in that tomb my faith would be worthless. Another lost cause. He would be dead. End of story.

But the truth is, Jesus was no ordinary man. He was God. He conquered death and the grave! If He had not risen on the third day I would have nothing to live for! No purpose in life! But because He lives today I can live! Because He is alive I have a reason to wake up every morning and praise His name. My God is an awesome God! He is alive today actively working in the lives and hearts of His children. I am overwhelmed to be called a Child of the living God!

“Why do you look for the living among the dead?  He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ” Then they remembered his words."
